When David Beckham isn’t on the soccer field, he makes a living being an international sex symbol, thanks to his numerous fashion campaigns for Armani, Calvin Klein and his latest for H&M. Now it looks like it’s time to pass the torch to his little ones — with the obvious exception that they won’t be modeling underwear anytime soon.
Romeo, Romeo… You know where I’m going with this. Romeo (Romeo Beckham, who is 10, by the way) is in the latest campaign for Burberry Spring/Summer 2013, which debuted on the brand’s official Twitter page earlier today. Lots of celebs have been the faces of Burberry — Emma Watson and her brother, Eddie Redmayne (who we’ll soon see in ‘Les Miserables’ opposite cast leads Hugh Jackman, Russell Crowe and Anne Hathaway), Felicity Jones, Douglas Booth, and the list goes on — and now little 10-year-old Romeo Beckham is taking the reigns.
This is Romeo’s first modeling gig — and what a first gig it is! “[Romeo] was a joy to work with and really stole the show,” said Burberry chief creative officer Christopher Bailey (via THR). It’s in his blood. With a Posh Spice for a mom and an international underwear model/soccer pro for a dad, how could it not be?
