Christopher Bastin has much to be excited about. Not only has his role as head of design for GANT Rugger propelled the line into becoming our go-to source for easy, suave and just plain cool-looking menswear, but his work has finally paid off. He’s now getting a major (and I can’t exaggerate that word enough) promotion.
It was announced early today that Bastin will become GANT’s new creative director, and will be handeling the direction and inspiration for all collections across the brand.
“As part of the GANT team, I have been lucky to experience many company milestones throughout the years,” he said. “I hope to build upon these successes as we develop the GANT brand and our collections towards ever higher levels of desirability.”
This new appointment will be officially instated on August 1, but what of former Creative Director Bob Andrews? He’s held his position for more than two years, which in retrospect isn’t that long. But nonetheless, he will be stepping down no sooner than July 31.
