After a long hiatus, Mad Men is finally returning in all its suave, ’60s-style glory this March. Oh yeah, and the show’s coming back, too.
Banana Republic is once again releasing a ‘Mad Men’-inspired collection for men and women on the 1st to help ring in the show’s 2-hour premiere at the end of the month.
“There was such an overwhelming response to the first collection that Janie Bryant and I knew we had to put our heads together for a new one this spring,” said Banana Republic creative director Simon Kneen. “The 60s era in America was extremely inspiring – perfectly fitted shift dresses and cropped capris in bold colors for women, and slim cut dress shirts and blazers for men allow consumers to feel perfectly put together in a classic way.”
Supermodels David Gandy and Shalom Harlow are decked out in pieces from the limited edition collection to give us a taste of what we can expect.
Maybe they’ll also give us some idea of what the upcoming season is all about, ’cause the new poster has us all confused. According to ‘Mad Men’ creator Mathew Weiner, the depicted scene is “a nonverbal representation of where my head is at and where the show will be.”
