Biking is a lifestyle, especially in New York City where it’s common for residents to ride down the cobblestoned streets of SoHo in fully-styled looks. Most street-style bloggers and photographers have snapped shots of these men and women for the rest of us to envy, but Ralph Lauren is giving everyone the chance to be a part of this lifestyle.
On October 15, Rugby is hosting its Tweed Run, a stylish metropolitan-area bike ride for the first 100 people who register. According to Rugby.com, attendees will be “outfitted for the occasion in traditional British cycling attire, particularly tweed blazers, knickerbockers and riding caps.”
The event was hosted in London and Tokyo in previous years, but for the very first time it will start off in Downtown Manhattan with a warm-up ride and a tea break, and then finish in Brooklyn for a gin party.
Don’t have a bike? Enter to win one from the Stratford-upon-Avon-based manufacturer Pashley. This custom-made bike shop has made a vehicle especially for the Ralph Lauren Rugby Tweed Run and will be awarded to one person who submits his or her name into the drawing from now until October 1st.
NOTE: The Tweed Run registration will begin on September 22 and the first 100 people will get the chance to participate.
